Dr Ambati refuses to see uninsured or Medi-Cal in his office. I was treated like a second class citizen as I waited over two hours, down wind from a dumpster, behind a dirty hospital. The last visit with the awful man was to remove the staples from my flesh. This was the worst treatment I have EVER encountered in the healthcare industry. He first walked in the room and snapped at me to drop my pants then proceeded to rip each staple from the healing scar as if they were stuck in two by four. Dr. Ambati did not answer any of my questions and made it quite clear my questions were irreverent.
I once had the best medical insurance through a great employer who, unfortunately, went under and was forced to lay everyone off. I understand the difference in treatment as I have now seen both sides. This man, I assume, feels he is doing a service by lowering his standards and providing "care" to the poor. If you have Medi-Cal or are uninsured....RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!.
