About James Haim Bicher, MD
Dr. James Bicher MD, founder and director of Bicher Cancer Institute, has been practicing Hyperthermia since 1984. Hyperthermia is a gentle heat cancer treatment, FDA approved in 1984, covered and recognized by most insurance companies. Hyperthermia, combined with low-dose-radiation, is one of the most effective cancer treatments with low or non-existent side effects. Dr. James Bicher MD is one of the pioneers of Hyperthermia, not only in the USA, but internationally.
Dr. James Bicher MD regularly participates in international meetings of Hyperthermia Societies, like the International Clinical Hyperthermia Society (ICHS), The German Hyperthermia Society, and the Society for Thermal Medicine, which are the most prestigious Hyperthermia societies in the US. Dr. James Bicher, MD provides hyperthermia, combined with low-dose-radiation, as it is one of the most effective cancer treatments available worldwide.
Last April, 2010, Dr. James Bicher MD presented a very well received paper at the STM society, entitled: "Hyperfractionated Thermoradiotheray (HTRT) Causes Less Sexual Dysfunction than External Beam Radiation Therapy (EBRT) in Definitive Treatment of Prostate Cancer."
This scientific paper shows that Hyperthermia combined with low-dose-radiation given at Dr. James Bicher's clinic, Valley Cancer Institute in Los Angeles, California, have much less or no sexual side effects on our prostate cancer patients, compared with standard care or conventional radiation therapy cancer treatments.
Dr. James Bicher has found that sexual side effects of conventional prostate cancer therapy, like surgery, high dose radiation, and/or chemotherapy are very severe. They manifest as impotence, loss of libido, erectile dysfunction, incontinence, and diarrhea, and in most, are irreversible.

The first time I walked into their office, I immediately smelled an absolutely horrible odor. I don't think they've ever cleaned the place. It made me nauseous. Let me just say that this business is in one of the safest areas around and you will be pleasantly surprised at how lovely the surroundings are. Although I have never had much to complain about I know that they always adhere to the customer is always right policy here. They take every complaint very seriously and strive to ensure that clients leave satisfied with their visit each and every time. Not only were they able to provide everything they promised me, they went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. It is obvious that their office is cleaned regularly. It was fantastic.

They keep the restrooms well-stocked here, and not just with the basics. There is mouthwash, lotion and other amenities. You can tell they want their clients to be as comfortable as possible. They've never used foul language, which has bothered me at some of the other places I've been too. They always make an extra effort to be polite and courteous. There was lots of available parking at their office. I was glad that I didn't have to drive around looking for parking. The office was easy enough to find. They make an extra effort to get to know their patients and find out what they need. They always remember me and make me feel very important.

They made sure every single question I had was answered, and are always available if I think of any more questions I want answered. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. I was so impressed with the progress I was able to make after visiting them. All my questions were answered, and I feel a lot more confident and hopeful about the future. The office was easy enough to find. I will absolutely return. I had an amazing experience, and they were by far the best I've ever seen.
