If this is the Dr. Wagner, heart doctor, Tucson, with the European accent, he diagnosed my mother in 2000 as having only 30 percent use of her heart. This was after having a colostomy reversal. She basically went home to lay down after hearing the news that only 30 percent of her heart was good. I asked for an explanation but no one could explain. She was prescribed a nitro patch each day for the rest of her life. Shortly after, my mom's knees deserately needed replacement - her knees bowed out and were excrutiating to look at. Dr. Wagner said she could not have the surgery due to her heart that was only 30 percent good. After about a year, we went to Dr. Boulet in Tucson to research Dr. Wagner's diagnosis because her knees were ready to collapse, literally. After performing an angiogram, Dr. Boulet told us my mom's heart was fine and that it was not damaged, in fact he felt it was stronger than his own heart. I was elated; however so sad that my mom lost one year of her life due to the misdiagnosis of Dr. Wagner. She endured walking on bowed knees, and stayed in bed only to find out her heart was fine. Thank you Dr. Boulet! If I could have sued Dr. Wagner I would have as my mom passed about a year later from sepsis which may have been directly related to this as well. After my mom had the colostomy reversal, someone came into the hospital room to say: I think there is a small leakage and we cannot release her. Dr. Wagner proceeded to say out loud "she can't have the operation her heart is weak", which was never determined by an angiogram or any other clinical tests. I feel her sepsis was a result of allowing the slow leak after the colostomy reversal. This doctor should never have won any awards and be careful - do not consider this doctor. Thank you.
