Traditional cardiac evaluations rely on cholesterol and stress tests as markers in detecting cardiac disease. However these evaluations are based on the misconceptions about heart disease and stroke that cholesterol causes heart attacks, stress tests can determine cardiac disease, and that mild to moderate vessel blockages are of little or no concern.
Due to a variety of insurance issues, physicians throughout the country are often prevented from offering laboratory studies, cardiovascular tests, and substantive time to help them identify the possibility of strokes and heart attacks in specific patients. Because of this, these same physicians are unable to diagnose or treat the triggers of strokes and heart disease in an effort to prevent or eradicate the risk of their occurrence all together.
With Dr. Anne-Marie Feyrer-Melk, MD at the helm, the Optimal Heart Attack & Stroke Prevention Center is changing everything about the way we look at the heart by providing the most advanced diagnostics and therapies in heart attack and stroke prevention available today. Anne-Marie Feyrer-Melk, M.D. received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School, and her internship, residency, and fellowship training were completed at Banner Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, with a focus on cardiovascular diseases.
