Vincent S Panella, MD

Dr. Vincent S. Panella is a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association and received his gastroenterology training at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and has been practicing since 1987. A New York native, he attended Columbia University and New York Medical College followed by internship and residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY. He has special expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy (colonoscopy, gastroscopy, video capsule endoscopy) and clinical liver disease, with specific interests in colorectal cancer prevention and diagnosis, inflammatory bowel disease, hepatitis B&C, and peptic ulcer disease. Hemorrhoid treatments are also offered using the CRH O'Regan Banding System. His hospital affiliations include Englewood Hospital & Medical Center in Englewood, NJ and Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, NJ. Dr. Panella has been named by Castle Connolly as one of the Top Doctors in the NY Metro Area annually for the last sixteen years and is a recipient of the 2013 Medical Society of NJ Physician Recognition Award with Commendation for Continuing Medical Education. In 2013 Dr. Panella also earned an Educational Achievement Award from the ASGE for his participation in cutting edge endoscopic training programs. He is also a past President of the NJ Gastroenterology & Endoscopy Society from 2004-05. Of note is that he continues to voluntarily participate in the American Board of Internal Medicine's Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Program. In 2014 he earned membership in the AGA's Bridges to Excellence IBD Care Recognition Program as a Level One provider. In 2015 HealthGrades.com rated Dr. Panella the #1 gastroenterologist in New Jersey based upon the number and quality of his patient's reviews.
