It was very difficult to get in to see them quickly enough when my subscription ran out. They never sent me reminders as they claimed they would implement for at least 3 years now. I always get that it's a federal law to renew my prescription without coming in and yet they can't get me in the timeframe they require.

They used to have someone who was great at navigating insurance and now they act like I have two heads when I dare to expect the same service.

I once called them back on the number they called me from and the lady yelled at me "where did you get this number?". Apparently, it was a second secret line. WTF?

They have been EXTREMELY rude in the past but they had made attempts to be better about that. But they're still cranky. I've tried many times (albeit not recently) to have reasonable discussions with Dr. Appleton and he's out to lunch, just doesn't want to hear it.

I've now switched my entire family to another doctor in town. He's smaller, friendly and appreciates my business. He and his staff have never been rude to me and have never failed to renew my prescription nor that of my children.

And when I very recently went to switch doctors, Appleton's office refused to give me my records.

One of the first things I noticed about this business was that they were not handicap-accessible and offered no means for handicapped individuals to enter the building. There were barriers everywhere making it practically impossible to get in the front door. The magazines in their waiting room were so boring. It made my time in the waiting room drag. They're always able to answer simple questions over the phone. They only make me schedule appointments if necessary.

No, the optometrist had very advanced equipment for a pain free experience
