I went to Dr. Rheeman for about 2 years. I had double vision and ptosis . I didn't know this was the name of it at the time but learned it was ptosis. I found him on the Internet as I needed an eye doctor who treated these conditions. The first thing he did for the double vision was give me double vision glasses which I complained were not doing much good. Then they don't even make the glasses there but I had to find Lens Crafters to make them. Since we don't have a Lens Crafter near us we had to travel all over to find one. Dr. Rheeman never listened to me and every time I saw him he would change his story until I was so confused I didn't know which end was up. He advertises he treats dry eye, ptosis and double vision and I had all three. He literally refused to operate on me, he misdiagnosed me several times and wouldn't even listen to the Neurologist who told him his diagnosis was wrong. Every time d tell him I had trouble keeping my eyes open. He just kept ignoring me and said he would see ptosis one minute and not the next. He did 2 visual fields that came out bad but he never explained them to me. Finally I left Dr, Rheeman and returned to my regular eye doctor who tried Botox saying I had Blephrospasm. The Botox didn't work so she referred me to a new Young Doctor who by the way is a woman who did a visual field and told me that when my lids were held open that I could She said she felt ptosis surgery could benefit me greatly and so a few weeks later I had the surgery. Right away I saw the difference and a week later I'm back to doing things I love I couldn't do before. I quit driving 4 years ago because of this and now I can drive again. I feel reborn.Dr. Rheeman sounds too unsure of his abilities and it got to the point that I wasn't comfortable with him at all. If you want a great surgeon for ptosis I recommend Leslie Wei of Binghamton Eye Associates. She is worth making the trip for. She gave me back my life and I will find a way to reward her.
