I had a bunion surgery some years back. He put a really long screw in, that goes all the way through the area where the bunion was and sticks out of the other side of the bone. It rubs on the bone next to it. It affects my walking and I have pain at times because of it. My middle toe is being pushed out and is curling down. I have to wear Metatarsal Pads at all times due to pain and rubbing when I walk.
I had to have another surgery a short time with a different surgeon to fix the problem because it never healed the first time. They tried everything to get it out, including breaking bones. It wasn't successful.
Now I have to live with the nightmare.
