I always leave feeling like he paid attention to my problem and is working on fixing it. He's always friendly and remembers what we talked about at previous appointments. It's like your a human being, not just some co-pay coming in.

His only downfall is that he's usually late.

My sister and I took my mom (she's 74 years old and had a bad experience with a foot doctor from 2007) to see Dr. Herbert Chien for bunions; callous and corns affliction. Unlike most Chinatown physicians, we didn't have to wait hours in the reception area. The doctor even provided a translator to ensure my mom has a chance to articulate her discomfort and pain. I chose Dr. Chien because of all the great reviews listed on the Internet. And guess what? He is exactly as the reviewers portrayed him to be: nice; kind; knowledgable; patient and thorough. He was also the only podiatrist to x-ray my mom's feet to ensure that he didn't miss anything. My mom was so pleased that she quickly agrees to see him again in three months --and that's saying a lot, given that my mom's the type of person to run in the opposite direction when it comes to seeing any type of physicians.
