Although I had thoroughly enjoyed the relationship I had with my physician, the office staff, especially the nursing staff, is exceptionally rude. After an unsuccessful medication change, I had attempted to reach out for help multiple times as I was feeling absolutely terrible. The staff refused to assist me in any way.

Instead, I had to deal with Nurse Lisa asking me if I was a physician, questioning my knowledge on the subject. How absolutely rude. What a rude statement when I am simply begging for help (my phone call each business day proves I was trying for help).

There was no grounds for recourse, no guarantee that the physician is even aware of the circumstances. Just a few rude nurses who instigated a situation and terminated a patient/physician relationship.

How can a physician exacerbate symptoms through dosage error and then terminate a patient due to side effect caused by this error, all without any communication with the physician?

Since my first visit, he has misdiagnosed me on more than one occasion to include telling me that I had herpes of the skin on my chin which ended up being diagnosed, treated and cured by a dermatologist as dermatitis. He will not give referrals as he will tell you that he is trained in every medical field and can cure anything. My OBGYN told me that I needed to go to Karmanos to be seen for an irregular pap during my pregnancy and Dr Horrigan would not give me the referral I needed until I came to him first to be seen and diagnosed by him. As if I needed the extra aggravation and stress after being told I needed to go to Karmanos! Of course after he got my money, he finally gave me a referral. Well now, I have finally changed PCP and he now wants over $100.00 to transfer my records to a new PCP. What a surprise! He's wanted nothing but money from me from the very beginning. It has been just ridiculous dealing with him and his office for these past 7 years. I wish I would have changed physicians much sooner. Btw, I have incidentally found other people who have been past patients of his who have told me similar stories of his practices and they have also moved on. Wish I knew sooner. Please take my experience and steer clear of this office for medical care needs.
