My husband has seen Dr. Vela twice now and each time he had orders expensive unnecessary test and procedures. Both times he went for minor reasons, the first time we were ok with most of the test because he was a new patient and maybe he wanted to get a base line on him. But this last time he went for a sinus infection after prescribing him antibiotics. He wanted him to a blood test (kinda understandable) and a x-ray of his head. He asked why the x-ray and Dr. Vela said rudely "Because I am the doctor!"
We have made a complaint with our insurance company and they are looking into him.
We don't recommend Dr. Vela to anyone!
