Initial visit went well but the contact lens prescription was wrong. Went for a follow-up and had my old doctor send down my prescription. After confirming the prescription was wrong and my old one was right, she sent me to see another doctor saying she saw something on my eye. Well, they found nothing and that cost me more money. She fit me into the right contact lenses and then her receptionist said she would order the lenses and this was the difference between insurance and what I had to pay. So I paid. I was told to just call if there were any problems with the lenses that they were fitting me with. 2 weeks went by and I called and told them they were fine and I needed to pick up my prescription. When I showed up, they gave me a paper prescription. I completly forgot that I had paid for the lenses. I went to order the lenses and was denied my insurance claim it was denied because they processed a claim. The insurance company called them and they were suppose to reverse the claim and they didn't. Called a week later and they said they could them for me but wouldn't be in until Thursday and to take out the lenses I had in. I asked them what I should wear until I got lenses since I didn't have glasses and they didn't know what to do. I told them I needed them before Thursday because I was leaving on a trip and they said they couldn't so I told them to refund my money and the insurance company and hung up. Went back to my order at 1-800 contact and ordered them overnight so I would have them the next day. They then called back and said they could get them overnight and I told them to forget it, I already ordered and to just refund the money to me and my insurance company. I called the insurance company and they called them also and they said they could do it since the person that handled billing was on her honeymoon. Come on people - You knew about this when I picked up the prescription, when the insurance called you the first time a week prior. Now you can't fix it until someone comes back from their honeymoon. Not only did you get the prescription wrong, but my old doctor had to give you the correct prescription and you stilled ripped us off by charging the insurance company. Stay away from this practice - unless you want a bad prescription and get ripped off.
