Dr Akright is great however her PA Wendy does not know how to work with Seniors. She is abrupt and does not have the patience to listen and talk to you. She can direct and talk at you but not with you to come to a good conclusion. I would not see her anymore due to her poor and pushy attitude.

This office has become a factory, and now that they've added a Nurse Practitioner, it's next to impossible to actually see Dr Akright, EVEN if you have a very complex medical situation. The people at the front desk try and the woman in the lab is great, BUT the medical assistant Denise is a nightmare - she is rude, has EXTREMELY poor listening skills, and refuses to pass messages on to Dr Akright. She also forgets to schedule things all the time - you have to call back repeatedly and leave messages to remind her. Communication with the actual medical staff is the worse I've ever encountered - your only options are email via NextMD or leaving voicemails, and in both cases it sometimes is days before hearing back. They repeatedly screw up with prescription refills. If you don't have a job and can spend fulltime running in circles to get even the most basic care at this office, be my guest. But as a professional myself, I find it appalling they have such low standards for communicating with patients.
Finally, they don't seem to network with any other doctors in town, Dr Akright won't even refer to other specialists - it's totally up to you to do the research and find someone.
