Dr. Belt is a gentle, caring dentist who is committed to providing quality care to each of his patients by using the most advanced materials and procedures available. His highest priority is helping you achieve your best smile comfortably and maintaining it for a lifetime. With his careful listening skills and one-on-one care he focuses on getting to know each patient individually and will tailor his treatment to best suit your needs.
With Dr. Belt’s varied professional background, you can be assured that while in his care you are in capable hands receiving high quality treatment. Dr. Belt enjoyed woodworking in his father’s garage when he was a young man which led him into the field of carpentry early in life. During his college years he worked as a concrete finisher and framer to help fund his schooling. While completing his Associates degree in Paramedicine, Dr. Belt was hired on with the Idaho Falls Fire Department as a Firefighter/Paramedic. Working as a paramedic, Dr. Belt found his interest in medicine had grown substantially to the point that he felt motivated to complete his pre-med degree which he accomplished in 2004 with a Bachelors of Science in Zoology from Idaho State University. Further consideration of his interests in medicine and carpentry skills led Dr. Belt to the conclusion that a career in dentistry would provide the perfect coupling of his professional experience and collegiate training. He was then privileged to attend and complete his DMD degree at the University of Nevada Las Vegas Dental School in 2008.
In his spare time Dr. Belt enjoys all things outdoors. Dr. Belt feels fortunate to be living in Durango, Colorado with his wife and five beautiful children where, together, they can enjoy all the mountains have to offer
