About

Orest Pelechaty, Orest Pelechaty, LAC

Serving Northern and Central New Jersey residents since 1986, we have had the honor to assist thousands of patients, from age 2 months to 94 years, regain and maintain their health.

Most of these folks could not be helped by drugs and conventional medicine. Many were in chronic pain. They had given up hope, and chose holistic medicine as a last resort. Fortunately, our bodies have the miraculous ability to heal and regenerate with safe, effective and drug-free alternatives. We combine gentle Acupuncture (traditional and needle-free) with nutrition, natural remedies, and health exercises to help you achieve optimum healing.

Orest V. Pelechaty, L.Ac., OMD, NCCAOM, received his degree of Oriental Medical Doctor in 1986 from the California Acupuncture College subsequent to his 1985 Masters Degree from Tri-State College of Acupuncture. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University and is nationally certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. He completed post-doctoral studies at Kyong Hee Medical University, Korea.

He is a life long student of various healing systems including Tibetan Ayuveda, Essential Oil Therapeutics, Homeopathy, and energy healing techniques such as Pranic Healing, QiGong, and various forms of Reiki.

He founded and directed Aware of Life Options & Healing Arts (ALOHA Clinic) NJ’s premier integrated holistic medicine clinic from 1988 to 2003. Orest retired from Clinic Directorship in order to pursue individual private practice in Vermont and New Jersey, as well as teaching, writing, and consulting to health professionals. He is the founder of Old King Farm Healing and Retreat Center in Benson, Vermont.

He is a founding member of the New Jersey Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and has served as Vice President. Orest is proud to have served on the national level as a member of the Board of Directors of the American Association of Oriental Medicine (AAOM) where he was first chairman of both the Herbal Medicine and the Qi Gong Therapeutics Committees.

He founded a holistic clinic to serve the poor in a village in Himachal Pradesh, India.
Orest has been a guest lecturer at local universities and hospitals as well as on radio and television. He always welcomes the opportunity to share his vast knowledge and experience.
