Nita Akins has been doing massage for many years and is the best, most respected masseuse in the Fairbanks area. She really knows what she is doing, and pays special attention to your needs. She takes time in addressing your individual needs and problems. I feel better every time I leave her office and look forward to returning. I refer my friends to her and they too, have come away with the feeling that someone who really cares has treated them. I definitely endorse her business.

Nita took me at short notice for a shoulder injury caused by excessive snow shovelling. I visited Fairbanks as a handler for a musher on the Yukon Quest and needed use of my arms to lift dogs, food bags, and rake straw at the checkpoints. Nita quickly identified my problem, worked with sensitivity to loosen up the contracted muscles and put my shoulder back in working order. Soon after the massage treatment my pain decreased and I regained use of my arm. With her help I was able to assist my musher like I hoped and now my pain is gone. Nita was also helpful in showing me diagrams of the problem area in my shoulder and explained her approach as she proceeded. Thank you for a professional and caring treatment!
