Judgmental, condescending and abrasive this appointment was worse than useless it was counter productive. I went for advise on the suggestion of my UCLA physician seeking information and coaching only to be belittled in a non collaborative, dictatorial, condescending and judgmental style. Did I say judgmental and condescending? Certainly worth repeating given the number of times she rolled her eyes and huffed and puffed at my answers. Sadly I suspect she has no idea of that her bedside manner/attitude towards her clients sucks. She needs to develop some level of empathy but as she told me "well, I've been doing this for only 33 years!" my sense is that she will never change. She has the information but I was so turned off by her attitude within the first 5 minutes I honestly did not hear a word she said after that. I cannot believe that UCLA Health allows her to continue. I imagine she is this way with most patients. If there was a score of zero stars I would give Carol that rating. I almost walked out but did not want to give her the satisfaction, If you are looking for a nutritionist who really cares and wants to work with you in the spirit of partnership stay away from Carol.
