Mark C. Goldberg, MD
Dr. Goldberg is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.S. in Chemistry from the Honors Program of the University of Georgia, and then attended the Medical College of Georgia. He performed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Dr. Goldberg was the Director of Cardiac Services at Tucson Medical Center for 3 years, and currently serves as TMC’s Director of New Program Development. He has been the Principal Investigator in 53 clinical research studies, affording his patients the benefit of well-informed interpretation of the latest medical research. He is a Director of Syncardia, the Tucson-based developer and manufacturer of the Total Artificial Heart.
Jessica Hoffman, Certified Nurse Practitioner
Jessica is Board Certified by the Arizona State Board of Nursing. Jessica was born and raised in Tucson and received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Arizona. Prior to working as a nurse practitioner, her experience included working with cardiac patients at TMC and El Dorado Hospital, as well as being a lead Clinical Research Coordinator. She has worked with Dr. Goldberg since 1997.
Marti Gilliam, Certified Nurse Practitioner
Marti is Board Certified by the Arizona State Board of Nursing. Marti grew up in a military family traveling the world before settling in Tucson. Marti received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing from the University of Arizona. She has a post-graduate degree as an Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. She has worked at Camp Lowell Cardiology since early 2009. Prior to that, Marti worked for 23 years at UMC in cardiology, trauma services, and the clinical decision unit.
Rachel Doerr, Certified Nurse Practioner
Rachel is Board Certified by the Arizona State Board of Nursing. She was born in Chicago, IL, and raised in Scottsdale, AZ. Rachel moved to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona, where she received her Bachelor’s in Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for Carondelet Health Network for 13 years, seven of which she gained valuable cardiac experience as an emergency RN. Rachel received her Master’s in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. She speaks Spanish and enjoys birding, swimming, traveling, and exploring southern Arizona.
