THIS DR IS HORRIBLE!!!
I’ve never written a review, but it needs to be done for this Dr. Maybe I can save someone the $ and trouble this man is.
My son, who is 9, has life threating allergies and environmental allergies. We are 3.5 years into a 5 year allergy shot treatment. We recently moved up here from Shelby Twp, MI. First of all, my initial visit was booked out 2 weeks even knowing that my son needed shots asap. We make it to our visit. He walks in with his Dr. Beats stethoscope (what???) He talked to us for maybe 10 Minutes. Enough time for ME to explain to him my sons allergies, show him the test results, tell him our treatment plan we are in. That was it. I then get my son his allergy shots and we leave.
1 week later, a bill for $411!!! I was shocked! The office did NOTHING but maybe enter in my information into the computer. I brought him all the information he needed. I told him everything. I had the vials for his shots. What did he do for $411!
So before moving forward, I confronted the front desk. Her first response was that I had insurance. Who cares if I have insurance? That is ridiculous to charge that for a quick meet and greet/exchange of information.
At that point I asked him for prices. After checking with the prices from our previous Dr’s office this is the difference. No Joke!
Dr. Bobby Joseph vs our other allergist.
For 50 doses of allergy shots he said it would be $1300.
For my old allergist $350.
For the administering shots. $65
Our other office was $25
An office visit would range from $80 - $350 depending on the severity.
Our other office, $85 flat rate
Here is the kicker, he told me that because his vials were different than our previous ones, that my son would have to now have 3 shots, per week, for 3 months. Then to every other for a bit and then to once a month. He did say that they could be done at another closer location, but that he would want to meet with us once a year.

When I called my previous Dr. She told me that she could send me the vials that we were using to avoid the 3rd shot and continue the once a month. When I told him this option, he refused. He had no problem administering 3 remaining shots from my old dr. but wouldn’t continue because it wasn’t “his” treatment plan. My son already has a treatment plan. To start him over and add an extra shot is MEAN. The only reason for that is more $ for him.
I confronted his office and told them how disappointed I was in his selfishness and that I’d never return and I’m surprised that they can work for him. I then received a letter from the Dr. saying that he was sad to inform me that he would no longer provide service to us. Um…?
Skip going to him. If you are forced to, check his prices. I found a family Dr. in 5 minutes, who is willing to administer my sons old shots for us. ONCE a MONTH and treat him as needed.
