I recently went to see Dr Tina Funt at Schweiger in Garden City NY for a full body exam as 3 of my golf buddies all contacted ticks and I thought I should get checkout out.
I explained the situation and asked for a full body exam for myself . She was in room with her associate ( so there were 2 people present )
Then started a comedy of errors, of unprofessionalism , lack of respect and inadequate procedures occurring
1- Firstly Dr Funt never examined my scalp my, groin or many other places that ticks can go to
GUESS what I found when I was home after the mediocre exam ,,yep a tick on my right buttock
I took it off put in in a bag and brought it back. this time I saw a PA who took the tick and sent it out to lab. She was concerned, thoughtful and professional. She also advised that I should have applied aquaphor and a bandage ...A little late as it was a week later

2- Also when Dr Funt examined me she cut off 2 suspicious items from me
the larger one was on my back
I was wearing a white polo top . when I got home my wife said there is blood all over your shirt
I then realized that after she cut the piece NEITHER her or her associate applied an antiseptic or band-aid..VERY PROFESSIONAL ??????
3- I called and spoke to the office and the person in charge and she understood and apologized
Do you think that DR FUNT had the respect , the professionalism or the caring to follow up and or apologize
NOPE NOTHING ...NADA ..ZILCH
I would not recommend her for removing a splinter as she should be embarrassed ...
