Misdiagnosed me regarding my loss of hearing in my right ear. Flushed my ears after waiting 2 weeks. Told him I had lost my hearing in my right. He quickly checked my ear and said I had
some moist wax and it would dry and fall out on it's own. He didn't
schedule a follow up appointment for me. I called his office after 2 weeks and told him I still couldn''t hear out of my right ear and had ringing in my ear. He didn't schedule a follow up appointment with me. I called his office after a couple of weeks and told him I still couldn't hear and I also had ringing in my ear. He said that was normal after having my ears flushed. He still didn't schedule a follow up appointment with me.

Another Doctor, Dr Salleta put me on augmentin and told me If I didn't improve in 1 week, call his office and he would schedule me with a ear, nose and throat specialist. I didn't improve and had nausea, dizziness and had to use a walker for several weeks. He referred me to Dr. Allen, an eye, nose, and throat specialist. She ordered blood work, MRI and an Audio test.

Results: I have a virus in my vestibular and tinnitis for life, due to.
not seeing her sooner. I had to wait 2 weeks to see Dr. Allen, she told me if she had seen me two weeks earlier, she would have put me on prednisone and may
have been able to save my hearing. She diagnosed me with a virus in my vesticular and tinnitis. She also referred my to vesticular physical therpy at Maine General in Augusta, to help me with my balance because I had none. She also put me on
meclizine 12.5 mg one tablet 3 or 4 times a day to help with my dizziness and loss of balance.

I wouldn't think twice about sending my friends and family here. They are very good at what they do. Their staff is very friendly and professional. I was confident that they were using the latest treatment methods. They always return my phone calls quickly. I always know that I'll get a prompt answer to my question.
