Cyber Bullying is a useful introduction to the growing problem of electronic harassment among children. Traditional bullying is defined as intentional, repetitive, and aggressive behavior perpetrated by a more powerful individual against someone weaker. Traditional bullying occurs mainly in schools and that the public has become more aware of its occurrence since the killings at Columbine High School. Children are more likely to be bullied in elementary and middle school and more likely to bully others during early and mid-adolescence. Boys tend to engage in direct physical bullying, while girls express their aggression indirectly through rumors and sexually disparaging comments. Victims often report debilitating symptoms including depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, poor concentration, a sense of helplessness, and low self-esteem.

In my recent discussions of pornography. A line has been drawn in the sand in Tampa, Florida. Paul Little of MaxWorld Entertaninment is on the block for his vile pornographic movies that are sold via the internet and delivered through the U.S. Mail., which of course set up the stage for a Federal crime.

Little's movies have scenes that include urinating, vomiting and defecating. Adult actresses in the films are often made up to look like young girls.

The "Barbie Bitches" syndrome (coined by sociologists, not your humble author) had compounded violence among girls, as they tried balancing desires to be attractive with being tough and mean.

Unlike boys, these girls have not learned to "fight fair", so their aggression boils over into physical violence or bullying tactics.

If you are being bullied, tell a friend, tell a teacher and tell your parents. It won't stop unless you do. It can be hard to do this so if you don't feel you can do it in person it might be easier to write a note to your parents explaining how you feel, or perhaps confide in someone outside the immediate family, like a grandparent, aunt, uncle or cousin and ask them to help you tell your parents what's going on.
